Have you Encountered Nudism?

Scientists have a general idea of when humans first started wearing clothes. Their conclusions come from genetic studies of the common body louse. The body louse feeds on humans but needs clothing to stay on in order to do so. The studies show that humans first began to wear clothes some around 72,000 years ago give or take. The human has existed in his present form, Homo sapiens, for around 200,000 years, so the numbers show that most likely for more than half the existence of our species, we all were nudists.

It has been proven that many years ago, all human beings were naturists. This is because 70,000 years ago, that’s when people started wearing clothes. Who is a nudist? It is a person who does not wear clothes every time. Today there are very many social places for naturists. There are nude beaches, restaurants and vocational resorts for these kinds of people. It is a trend that people are actually referring to as a lifestyle. Believe it or not this lifestyle has its advantages and disadvantages.

Today, you will still find many cultures where clothes are not worn at all. There is mounted pressure to get these cultures civilized and dressed up. Greece has been one culture that has embraced nudism for many years. The word nude is derived from Greek word, gymnos which means gymnasium. From this alone, you can see the deeply connection between sports and scanty dressing. It is perfectly acceptable for sports men and women to hit the game wearing next to nothing.

Today, in what are called nudist colonies, or nudist resorts, people are selectively removing most of all of their clothing. This has led to some myths about nudity, or naturalism, as it is sometime called. One such myth is that nudity is immoral. The reason is that it is seen as sexual in nature. It may be thought of as erotic or pornographic, but still sexual. In fact, nudist do not see themselves as either voyeurs- people who have a prurient interest in seeing naked bodies, or exhibitionists- people who have a prurient interest in being seen naked.

Actually, most nudists view it as a natural state and our purest form. They state we are born naked, so how can it be evil to be naked? They also extol the health benefits. The exposure to sunlight is good in that it leads to the production of vitamin D in the body. On the other hand, our increased knowledge of the causes of skin cancer has led sun block to be part of the nudist's equipment. Nudism is practiced in many forms today. Nudist beaches are quite popular as are nudist vacations on either public or private land.

The communities advocate for a more discrete environment of being nude. This is getting a lot of heat response from people. This is because it is viewed as a way to promote graphical images that are not moral. There are people who enjoy joining other naturalist to these beaches and enjoying themselves with their nude bodies. There is no reason why anyone should stay nude, the body is private and personal asset and privacy should be exercised.
